The importance of high web traffic can not be over stated when it comes to making money through a blog or website. The more traffic directly translates into more variety of people visiting your website and thus the possibility of clicks on your PPC ads. That is , the audience I get to my site through link submitting is not as targetted as it should. The sites suffer from low conversion rates. Maybe on 7000 visitors yot get 7 clicks. Pathetic. So this way of getting web traffic is not good enough if you have monetized your site with PPC advertising networks like Google Adsense or Kontera. Your chances od making money from those blogs and sites become lean.

There is one more way to get visitors. That is use social networking sites like Myspace, Facebook. You create a profile create a big community of like minded friends and people. You get some more traffic and the visitors will be a bit more targeted because you have predetermined the profile. This method can be very potent one as you can advertise your sites very fast and start getting visitors. But again the purpose of making money gets fogged. The reason being , the kind of visitors you will be getting will be more aware of the online advertising concepts. These kind of visitors do not click on Ads because they are more like to find information they seek through other means like Google search and the like. My experience is that people who know about PPC ads tend to prove low converting web traffic.
